July 2000 - Sarah's Law - a campaign aiming for the government to allow controlled access to the Sex Offenders Register, so parents with young children could know if a child sex-offender was living in their area.

November 2000 - Johnathan King was questioned by police and charged with sexual offences dating back to the early 1970s.

September 2001 - The Brass Eye Paedophile Special - Background, Reaction and Resolution

September 2001 - Following trial, Johnathan King was convicted and received a seven year prison sentence.
